Finally i finished editting e photos taken from my trip to JB to attend mc darling's fren's wedding. Here it goes...

2009-09-20 ~ Cheung Yung & Jini's wedding at JB

First of all, notice how nice e date is, hahaha. I tot of having our solemnisation on a nice date like 20 Oct 2010 but it was too troublesome n need to spend more $$ so we dropped tat idea. Anyway, I nv attended overseas wedding overseas b4 so JB is e 1st, hehehe.

Nice outdoor solemnisation. I made a simple slideshow using Picnik for a portion of e solemnisation.

After e solemnisation, we went to take a peek at e ballroom for e wedding dinner.

E newlyweds were so creative, they used e places they have visited to named their tables for their guests n made e seating arrangement board on their own. It was still early for e dinner so we went back to our rooms to take a rest but we rested too long n were e last few to enter e ballroom, so pai seh. Fortunately, e newlyweds hadn't entered when we came in, hehehe.

E wedding food served were quite different from S'pore n i can say some dishes were much more tasty than S'pore.

E ballroom became a disco after e dinner, hahaha. E newlyweds were really gd hosts, accompanying their guests to drink n party till late.

To end this entry, Happy Belated Halloween.

Picnik has these fun tools for halloween so played wif it n made this pic, hahaha. Actually, i have nv celebrated/ dress up for halloween b4 n this year, i didn't get a chance to do so again cos i had to do OT tat nite, *sob*. Shall wait until next year to c got chance a not....

I didn't know abt this movie until mc darling said he wanted to watch it. i'm glad we watched it cos it was so inspiring n made me really wan to pick up cooking, hahaha. Probably tat's his trick in getting me to like cooking but it worked. I can't wait to haf my own kitchen to start my cooking experiment n he shall taste all my results, LOL.

On top of e cooking inspiration, e movie showed how loving Julie Child n her husband, Paul were, so supportive n encouraging to each other whenever they met wif their dead ends. I hope my marriage can b like them. It's sad tat they can't haf children but if they were to haf children, probably Julie Child wun b Julie Child, e french chef, today.

I tink i'm going thru e same dilemma as Julie n Julia. I'm in search for e thing that i wun b dragged to do n feel proud doing it, jus like them in e beginning of e movie. Mayb this is also y i liked e movie cos it relates to my situation now n it gave me hope tat i will eventually find e thing i truly love to do wif passion.

Haf yet to edit my photos from my short trips, will get them done soon, hehehe.

Met up wif mc darling n his frens to haf dinner @ Yakinikutei Ao-Chan to celebrate his frens birthday, hehehe. We were early tat day so started to camwhore e surrounding n ourselves wif my phone camera, LOL.

After 15 mins of waiting, they finally came n here was our feast.

E beef were very fresh but there were not much variety on cooked food so e guys had to order another big bowl of rice to share, hahaha. After dinner, we went over to the Orchard Central across e road.

E layout of e place is like The Central @ Clarke Quay which I dun really like but i can say tat a lot of effort is being put on e display n design of e walls n ceiling.

To end e nite, we had dessert @ Gelare.

Got my favourite vanilla flavour for e ice cream, hehehe. 

Next update will be on our trip to JB n Bintan....

Here r some random updates to keep this place going, hahaha.

Random Item 1:

I'm currently addicted to e game, Restaurant City, on Facebook.

I love my pink restaurant but too bad they dun haf things like stage & band for me to decorate my restaurant to a live music pinky restaurant, hahaha. If they were to create e stage, I wish it could come in hot pink to match my theme, LOL.

Random Item 2:

I spotted a rooster at my estate....

E 1st time when i saw him, he looked pretty big to me but when i saw him upclose last nite, he was quite petite n kinda cute. I hope he wun b killed by e cars coming into e carpark.

Random Item 3:

Yeah, it's long weekend again n i'm going JB wif mc darling to visit his cousin and to attend his fren's wedding so going to update wif more picture soon, hehehe.

Hasn't been blogging for a while becos i was so mentally drained from all e wedding preparation n house hunting n work as well. Finally we r getting our house soon but my hands will b tied now from all e freedom of shopping *sob sob*. Feeling heart pain drawing down on my saving but on e other hand, we finally haf sth huge of our own, hehehe.

I hope i can get over my heart pain soon....haf to learn to be a miser from now on, LOL.

2009-06-14 ~ Music Story 2nd Anniversary

I stopped taking singing lessons for like 2 - 3 years now n i kinda missed them so i decided to take it up again n jus nice, it was Music Story (MS) 's 2nd Anniversary, Clara n I paid Fang Lao Shi a visit tat day.

Wanted to post a pic of us wif Fang Lao Shi but it was not very nice, hai.

Since I haf left tat place for so long, i expected myself to see alot of unfamiliar faces but to my surprise, I saw Jia Min 叶嘉敏. She's my favourite in Campus Superstar although i dun really catch the show, hahaha. She performed at the anniversary which i could only "see" wif my ear n she sang like a pro. Hope she can make it big one day n make Singapore proud. Hahaha, I sound like her manager.

2009-06-21 ~ Cycling @ East Coast Park

We wanted to exercise tat day but were too lazy to jog so decided to bring Red Dragonfly (红蜻蜓) n Latte out to cycle cos while we exercise, we can play wif our cameras as well, hehehe.

We began our cycling journey from mc darling's place to our destination, East Coast Park. Along e way, we stopped to take some pictures n this is my favourite.

When i c this bus stop, it reminded me of my days taking bus to school, hehehe. I purposely editted e pic to make it look more retro.

It didn't take us long to reach East Coast n our 1st stop was e Wakeboard Park.

When we were leaving to make our way to Bedok Jetty, I saw smoke coming out from one of e bushes n told mc darling to look. We went over to check it out n mc darling extinguished it using e soil. While he was busy extinguishing, i took this macro shot of e fruit on e bush, hehehe.

2009-05-25 ~ Gary & Joey's Wedding

I tink this is my 3rd time (if i'm not wrong, do until i forgot liao, hahaha) being a sister for a fren's wedding. Joey's my singing classmate, now my singing khaki, n when i knew her then, she was still single. So she kept saying i will get married b4 her but now, she got married b4 me, which i'm very happy for her.

E ang bao boxes were made by Zijia (sat beside me), so pretty n cute wif e bride n groom miniature surrounded wif red roses. They were truly e highlights at e registration table.

I had fun wif e other sisters n brothers, u guys r super nice people. Hope e newlyweds will organise a get-together party at their place for us to catch up soon, hehehe.

2009-05-02 ~ Birdpark Excursion

Ok, this should be posted much earlier but was too excited to update my engagement so delayed my editting on e photos for this excursion. Here goes....

I got to know mc darling's nieces at his grandma's wake n they were super fun to play wif. While playing wif them, i told them abt e place we can feed e birds in e Birdpark n it got them fascinated. So we arranged a day to bring them there, hahaha.

She's so adorable rite? hahaha. We were glad we brought e pram cos without it, i tink our arms would haf broken.

Tat's all for e photos cos i was too busy taking care of e kids n neglected my phototaking time in e park. I can say they r more of e obedient type of kids (at least nv cry), so it was pretty enjoyable taking care of them but super tiring at e end of e day.

Overall, it was a gd experience n training for me. Come to tink of it, it's my 1st time bringing kids out for an excursion n i shld give myself a gd pat on e shoulder cos everything went well n we brought e kids back safely to their dad. However, i must say e credits should not come all to us cos mc darling's mom n younger sis were there tat day too n they helped us to take care of them, so without them, we might not haf survived, hahaha.

After going thru e photos for day 2, i realised there's nothing much cos we left after our breakfast. So i'm going to show some pics that mc darling took wif his Canon DSLR during e trip, then i'm going to talk abt e marriage proposal, hehehe.

2009-05-16 ~ E Marriage Proposal

I was actually busy doing a hairdo trial for my mom in e afternoon tat day cos she had a function to go to e next day. It was my first time curling hair for someone so a trial was necessary. mc darling told me e nite b4 tat he wanted to go shopping for his Natural Geographic Camera Bag tat evening so i waited for him to call me while doing e trial. When he msged me tat he was coming, i was too tired to change after e trial so tot of asking him to come up to my place to wait for me n haf dinner, which he usually would agree. But when i asked him, he replied tat he was going to bring me eat hao liao. At tat moment, I started to suspect sth liao n i said ok n quickly get myself ready in 20 mins, hehehe.

When i arrived in his car, he explained tat his fren had some dinner voucher from his bank promotion to dine in one of e restaurant at Fullerton so tat's y we were going there tat nite. I played along, hehehe. Then suddenly his hp rang n it was his fren, Roy. He called to tell me abt e promotion n he sounded pretty convincing so i tot it could b true n i was a little sad cos if it's true, i haf to wait a while more for my ring, hahaha.

Along e way to e hotel, everything was as usual. We talked as usual n being unfamiliar wif Fullerton, he was leading e way n i followed. When we entered e lift, e surprise was revealed as he blindfolded me wif a sleeping mask. He led me to e hotel room n sat me down on a chair where i removed e mask.

In front of me was his laptop, playing a slideshow wif pics of me, n him n his messages to me. Honestly, i was too happy tat i didn't read e messages but managed to catch e last few, especially e last message, "Will you marry me?", hehehe.

I turned n he was there, standing wif e ring n i stood up n kept saying, "Thank you", hahaha. So stupid rite. Then he kneel down n asked me e question, "Will you marry me?", n of cos I said, "I will." hehehe. He stood up n put e ring on me. And tat's it, hehehe. 

Our dinner was served to us in our room shortly after tat. Even though it was over, i could c mc darling still very nervous, cos he couldn't sit still while we were having our dinner, hahaha. But he was calmed down after a while, hehehe.

While having our dinner, i started to gaze at my engagement ring for e first time. I'm not a diamond person n it being my 1st piece of decent jewellery, i love it very much.

Then on e 2nd look, i realised how big n shinning it is, hehehe.

We finished our dinner wif our favourite dessert, tiramisu. *Still feel tat e one we made is better, hahaha*

Overall, e food was pretty good but e soup tasted weird. After dinner, we played wif our cameras at e balcony.

We invited his frens over to celebrate our engagement. Thanks for coming guys. Roy was, of cos, one of them who came n he told me many things abt mc darling's preparation for this proposal, hehehe. Good job man, n i'm glad i'm finally in ur Circle of Trust, hahaha.

E proposal was simple but unforgettable. I love u, mc darling. Thank you for everything n i look forward to our lives together.

Yes, i finally received my long awaited engagement ring, hahaha.

2009-04-23 ~ Angsana Resort Bintan

It's been long since my trip, which was to Guangzhou, so wanted to haf a short getaway but must b cheap cos saving up now for....u know lah, hehehe. Hence, Bintan was e only good choice n now i finally understand y mc darling's buddy, Roy, loves to go there.

Before going for this trip, i saw Xiaxue's blog on her new camera n fell in love wif it. It's Panasonic Lumix LX 3, a semi-pro digicam. I did my research n indeed it is a gd semi-pro which is highly recommended by a number of reviews so i decided to get it before going to Bintan. I wanted to buy a 2nd hand but could not find one so went to check on clubsnap forum to find out e best deal in town n i managed to found it. However, when mc darling (oh, should b finance, hehehe, still not use to calling him tat, hahaha) n i went to e shop, there was no stock, hai.

Unable to suppress my urge to get it, we went to check on other store n found a relative lower offer but less freebies but it was selling a protrait lens tat my finance is eyeing at e lowest price in e building, so we decided to get our stuff from there. E uncle (should b e owner) who was serving us kept trying to sell accessories to my finance n he successfully convinced him to buy a UV filter. When we came back to check, he sold us e filter $10 higher than it shld be. So beware if u go to tat shop to buy ur camera stuff. E shop is Bally Photo at Funan.

Now i shall let e photos do e talking on our trip to Bintan, hehehe.

We were offered a complimentary drink, hehehe.

And here is our room, hahaha.

It was time for lunch after exploring e room. Talking abt food, it is super expensive there, but wat to do, there was no other place to go so u haf to eat their food. This explained why i saw some family brought small n big bags, i believe inside contain food, hahaha.

After lunch, we went back to our room to take a nap. E bed is super shiok lor, n we slept until 5pm then woke up to go swim. E beach was more fun than e swimming pool n so we spent almost an hr there. We didn't took at beach photos cos we tot of taking it e next day.

After having our fun in e beach, we went back to wash up n got ready for dinner.

2009-04-19 ~ Our Making of Kuala Tiramisu

It's been quite sometime since we last made tiramisu so mc darling suddenly felt like making one n we finally found a sunday free to do it. i ate almost e whole thing (over a week) but he managed to haf e last bite of it, hahaha.

I realised e tiramisu became more delicious as e days passed, mayb bcos e accents from e spongefingers diffused into e cheese, making it more tasty. We shall experiment it a few more times to get e perfect one, hehehe.

2009-04-12 ~ Ee Shiuan & Maxim's Wedding

This was my 2nd time attending a wedding at Shangri-La Hotel n both weddings are mc darling's frens, hahaha. I wore e same dress i wore at e 1st wedding i attended there but gave it new look by adding a new black satin belt n accessories, hehehe.

Anyway i shall let e pictures do e talking.

I must say e food was delicious but it was served too slow so in e end e waiter was asked to put e whole dish on e table so that we could served ourselves wif as many n much servings we liked, hahaha.

Ok, here's an update tat i missed out.

2009-01-10 ~ Makan Ministry of Food @ Marina Square

We were on our way to Marina Square when suddenly an insect flew onto e windscreen. mc darling wanted to squash it wif e wiper but i stopped him cos it's so cruel but if it flew on my face i will squash it, hahaha. Anyway, we just let e wind blew it away but we were surprised that it could clinged onto e windscreen for a few minutes wif e car driving at 90 km/hr.

I can't remember what we were doing at Marina Square but i tink we shld b there to haf our haircut, hehehe. So for dinner, we decided to try Ministry of Food cos it sells my favourite unagi rice in claypot.

But in e end, i didn't eat tat cos i found it too filling so i had e soup soba. It was not as fantastic as e one i had at Waraku but still it's worth a try. E rest were not too bad, definitely better than Sakae Sushi. So if u r bored of e jap restaurants u usually go to, can try this.
